Accessibility statement

The "Timelines" website aims to comply with the Israeli Standard for Web Accessibility (SI 5568), based on the WCAG 2.1 Level AA guidelines.

Accessibility features implemented

Keyboard navigation, including menus, forms, and the interactive map. A "Skip to main content" link at the top of every page. Alternative text (alt) is required for every image, including images shared by readers. A full text-list alternative to the map view is available for screen reader users. You can stop motion using the button on this page or the Escape key on the home page. Your preference is saved on your device.

Known limitations

The website is undergoing continuous improvement. The archive content includes historical images and long articles, and the map relies on an external service. You can enlarge text in articles, and use a list of places as an alternative to the map. Automated tests and manual reviews help us identify issues, but cannot guarantee that there will be no difficulties with every combination of device and assistive technology.
